Naples'
newest restaurant offers all around flare
by Amie McLain
NAPLES:
Seasonal residents have begun to make their way back into
Southwest Florida and like many restaurant owners, one man
hopes to cash in on their return. NBC2's Amie McLain attended
the grand opening of Naples newest restaurant Capri where
she discovered the owner is reeling customers in with a unique
approach.
From the
outside, Capri looks like a typical restaurant, but the owners
say this bar/sports lounge has something residents wont find
in North Naples.
"We
brought the charm of 5th Avenue right here to North Naples.
We brought a bit of New York City and a bit of Italy right
here," said owner Zack Bellini.
In fact,
Bellini says he's remodeled the place to even it give an east
coast edge.
So from
an Italian chef, French pianist, and good old American football,
Bellini's goal is clear - to target the seasonal residents
by making northerners feel right at home.
Seasonal
residents weren't the only ones filling Capri's tables on
Sunday, local residents also took a bite into the hype.
"The
north end of town, there's not a whole lot, just a couple
of places but nothing like this," said Naples resident
Dorothy DeSimone.
A new
nook in Naples that will give patrons a taste of home no matter
where they are from or what day of the week it is.
Capri
is located in North Naples at 1140 Tamiami Trail and is open
from 11:30 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
